Life Goals

I have a lot of life goals. I started to set my life goal when I was in primary school. One of my career life goal was to be a doctor. Well of course that was not the only ambition I had before. My backup ambitions are to be either a scientist or teacher, if I happen to not able to be a doctor. I really wanted to be a doctor before, because that was what my dad wanted me to be. He wanted me to cure him for his disease, his no cure disease. He wanted me to find the cure so that I can help him and a lot of other people as well. But I lost him even before I finish my diploma. And my pointer drop to the point where I am not eligible to apply medic courses for degree, not even accepted for any degree courses in UiTM. But I am fine with that. One of my backup ambition is to be a teacher, and I like what I learn now. So, I make my path to be a degree student in Unitar International University. I hope this will be the best choice I ever make in my life.

As for personal life goal, I aim to get married before age of 30 or latest by 30. And I wanted to travel or have holiday weekend somewhere nice with my family and friends before I marry someone. I even thinking of trying bungee jumping and some other activities such as ice diving and driving at high speed. These are dangerous and should not be attempt by amateur but having that life experiences will worth a bedtime story for my future kids. And these can only be achieve once I have stable permanent job as my income. I want my future children to have a better life than me. So, yes! This is one of my inspiration to have a better result.

Pedagogy class for this week (3rd week)

Pedagogy class starts in the morning at 8 o'clock. So it was quite a challenge for me to wake up early for class, also to prevent from stuck at the traffic jam. Our class tutor for this subject is Mr Wan Kamaran. Class lesson for this week was the explanation of the assignments and the School of Thought-Theories. We have not started with the chapters yet as notes have not been uploaded into Uniec Virtual. There are only few of us, not exceeding 10 so there are no problem to stay focus. The only problem was sleepiness. And a hungry stomach. Thank God Mr Wan understand these and we had a 15 minutes break to take a nap and have breakfast. So I decided breakfast it is. We finish the class around 10.30am and pedagogy is my only class for the whole Tuesday.

Preparation for mock teaching

Class activity for this week was we were doing preparation for our mock teaching in the coming week. We need to do three forums, three lesson plan and mock teaching as assignment 2. The mock teaching is based on one of the lesson plan that we have prepared. We need to do lesson plan by applying one of the theories-school of thought. Therefore, a simple essay need to be done to explain why the theory has been chosen to be the basic of the lesson plan, which is also for the mock teaching. I have decided to choose behavioural theory to apply in my lesson plan and mock teaching for the coming week.

Presentation of lesson plan aka mock teaching

This week is the presentation of our lesson plan. I was the second to present according to the alphabetical order name. My subject was English for Form 4 students and I taught about the meaning of poems and how to recite it. The title of the poem is Sonnet 18 by William Shakespeare. First I introduced world known poets, those from 18th and 19th century. Then I showed a video of how to recite Sonnet 18 poem. It was fun as my classmates were sporting and join along in the activity session, which was a small competition of reciting the poem. All of us, including me learn the meaning of the Sonnet 18 phrases by phrases. This poem indeed is a beautiful and meaningful poem.
